This is one of the closest restaurants to the leaning Tower of Pisa. After exploring the tower and all the museums surrounding it we decided to have a light lunch. We were seated right away, I was surprised to see they had plenty of tables available, there are so many tourists in this area. We grabbed a table that allowed us to see the tower as much as possible. All the tables have umbrellas, which block the view of the tower itself, but you can still see it if you lean to the left far enough LOL
Service was not that great, and the food was nothing to cry home about. Like I said, we had a light lunch which for me was a pizza and a salad. I cannot even remember what my husband had. but the pizza wasn't very good. I also deviated from my usual red wine and had a glass of crisp white, which was surprisingly decent. This is a very touristy restaurant, they do not concern themselves with offering great food, just passable enough. It seems they feel the view should be enough. Prices didn't seem to be hiked up at least, which was a good thing. I would've hated to pay more for mediocre food. -

I'll be nice on this one. We came to this restaurant KNOWING it was not the most authentic and best food that you can get in Italy. We were done with our sightseeing and it was the closest restaurant to us, the only qualification it needed. I mean, c'mon, it's literally located right next to the Tower of Pisa, you could be eating complete garbage and have one of the most beautiful views.
They had a very large and extensive menu, with just about any Italian cuisine you could think of. Funny enough, they even had an entire page dedicated to souvenirs you could buy, like keychains and statuettes. I ordered the salami pizza, and it was very good. I also tried their house white wine, and it was very nice as well.
The service was pretty much nonexistent, but this seems to be a recurring thing in Italy, since servers generally do not receive tips. However, we did have to pay a sitting fee, so I did expect to have better than what we did. It was also a little annoying to see a few people trying to sell things to tourists, approaching them while they were eating...Luckily this didn't happen to us, but it seems as if the staff is aware of this and just lets it happen.
Basically, don't come here with high expectations. Don't come for the "Ultimate Italian cuisine experience". Come here if you're just looking for some good food with a nice view. -

Shitty food, like really shitty for an Italian restaurant. Service is mediocre. They charge you a cover (€2 per person) - RIDICULOUS. Tourist trap, AVOID this place like fire.

I understand why this place has such a low rating. It had an amazing view of the tower of Pisa and I thought the food was actually really good. It also looks great and has a nice atmosphere. I ordered tortellini with meat sauce and it was great. The service was also good.

Probably my worst food experience in Italy!
I ordered the carbonara, and it tasted like mac and cheese. Not that I mind mac and cheese, but I didn't go to Italy for mac and cheese.
My fiance ordered a pizza but I got my food and finished it before she got her food, and we got the explanation that the pizza makers and the restaurant is two different things. So strange!
Too top it all of, the waiters were in the middle of a huge argument, my guess about the tables and the owner didn't care much about the loud voices.
It's a shame, because the location of the restaurant is perfect, and you can see the tower and the basilica.
